MEMBER PACKETS

The Relief Society put these packets together with the help of some very helpful sisters in our ward, who spent the time to let us know there tips on a variety of different subjects.  Thanks so much!  This packet is very helpful with any information you may want on shopping, what malls to go to, other stores, Doctors, fun parks, free activities, attractions and seasonal events.  You are welcome to comment on this and also add in the comments box, anything else fun you like to do in this area.  Thanks.

  1. The Children's Museum has started to change how they do their low income "scholarship" memberships. You need to fill out a 1 page application and take in the front page of your most current tax return and they will then base your membership fee accordingly. We just got our membership renewed for $25! Also, if you're a student that spends a lot of time going home to visit in Utah, I recommend getting a Science Museum pass. There is no discount - family memberships are around $85 and include IMAX movie and guest passes, but they have a recipical program that lets you get into any participating museum free. Including the Living History Museum in Newport News (normally $17 a person) and the Nauticus Museum in Norfolk (near VA Beach). BUT the really cool thing is that if you're visiting home, it also gets you into the Discovery Gateway for free and to shows at the Clark Planitarium.
